Directed Services is a program for adults, ages 21 and
older, with disabilities to have a personal care
attendant. For this program the person with a disability
must be Medicaid eligible, able to self direct and pass
a 21 point assessment by a Registered Nurse. With this
program the person with a disability can hire and fire
the personal care attendant of their choice, as long as
they are not a spouse and have a clean background check
through Family Care Safety Registry or an approved Good
Cause Waiver. |
