Dear Sponsors:
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you
for your assistance with the 2006 “A Night With The Stars” prom
hosted by the Independent Living Resource Center and Girl Scout
Troop 443. If you did not have the opportunity to attend, it was
truly a night to remember. And it certainly would have not been
possible without your support.
The prom was attended by individuals with various disabilities
including Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, and many
others. To see the happiness on the faces of the youth that
attended was certainly something we will not soon forget. All of
the hard work and planning paid off in more ways than we ever
anticipated. Many of these individuals may not have had another
opportunity to experience a prom due to lack of support,
accessibility, or inclusion barriers. This was an event that I
am sure that they will never forget.
We thank you for your generous support and invite you to become
part of a tradition that the community looks forward to year
after year. We hope you will consider volunteering at next
year’s prom and invite you to join our planning committee, which
will begin meeting in September of this year. Please contact me
